thank the many people - both students and citizens of the Protectorate alike - for all of the condolences that have been sent my way this weekend, both through the journals and through Owl Post. It is heartening to know that so many people are concerned for my well-being, and are feeling the loss of Auror Crouch, though at this time I do feel that the flowers and cards would be best appreciated by Mr Crouch's immediate family, especially in light of recent news.

I would also like to make it clear that I must regrettably turn down all requests for interviews or official comment at this time.

Thank you again, though, for your concern and caring. Know that it is appreciated.



Students: classes will be held as scheduled this week, though some may be attended to by professors other than myself. Cheers.

He was in Ipswich doing his job, says he, when Bella and Braithewaite showed up and nearly fell over dead at the sight of him, alive as ever.

They were tracing back to see where he was and what he was doing before he'd apparated in and died (or not died, as it turned out), all part of the investigation to pin down the assassin.

And then they took him straight to Buckingham. That's where they've been this evening, all three of them.

And as Narcissa has insisted on pointing out, he left his journal which conveniently kept him from answering anyone before now, including her summons to him of a few days ago.

Does he have any explanation for the Barty Crouch, Jr whom Dominic saw murdered before his own eyes?
