Barty - any new updates on that surveillance report?

Quiet here, more or less. Draco just left to go flying, but Harry wanted to stay in to play chess. Lucius, told Draco we'll be out to look for him if he's not back in an hour sharp. He knows the drill by now, anyway.

If Stint is still at Snowdon, I'd like to pay him a visit. Leave him absent more than just his mouth this time.

You've seen a certain article, then? I can give you the editor's address if you'd like to pay a visit there, as well.

Have two people watching Stint. Plus one at the top of the mountain at the station. He's in and out of there frequently.

Ours are keeping their distance as that's the only chance to see who's making contact with him. The manager at the station, and the director of the course. This morning there was a lumpish looking yokel. Stint paid him for something.

But the most recent report is that he has a nasty habit of disapparating. Has gone and returned twice today from the inn where he's got rooms. Those weren't trips to the top. Uses the Floo for that. (Not sure what's wrong with his legs. The rest of them are expected to hoof it, except the matron. Apparently she's a bit fragile at the moment. Age catching up.)

At any rate, Desai and Montague are looking at planting a tracer on him, but that may not be worth the chance they'll tip their hand. There's no sign of him here at Pembroke yet. Perimeter's clear. Desai assumes he's still trying to sniff out where Narcissa booked the holiday, but he'll work that out soon if he's got any sources worth their fee.

He'll either turn up here or he won't. And then we'll see. I've got LS-P shadowing Draco under Look Don't Touch orders unless there's clear provocation.

Hm, don't like to hear about the frequent disapparation. Is there a chance he's picked up on the surveillance and is creating diversion?

Not sure how to read L's silence on the subject. Want to think it hasn't earned His notice. (It doesn't deserve notice.)

Agreed. And there's no telling. Desai is one of the best I know, and Montague is best of his cohort. Stint's come back both times. And Desai points out that he could easily lose them if he wanted. But he seems unaware or unworried.

Maybe he had to put in an appearance at St M's. Someone there might have noticed they're paying him for a lot of not much.

Steady, Razzer. Not that you don't have adequate reason, naturally, but there is no proof of anything yet. Nor does it make sense to compound one problem by adding another unnecessary one.

As for Draco, if Stint is still at Snowdon then he ought to be safe enough for an hour's flight.

Kindly tell Narcissa I shall arrive very late to-night, if not to-morrow morning. Our business at Court was ... extensive ... if not unwelcome. And there is much to be completed before trusting the business of the realm to run itself for a few days.

Barty, you'll be pleased to know one of our number has returned. One who may be of considerable benefit to all manner of ongoing business, in fact. Will explain to-morrow.
